Fair warning, friend — my story gets real about grief, depression, and some hard stuff. Grab a bevvie of your choice, and take this at your own pace. 🌷

My “Why”…

Okay friends, grab your coffee (or wine, no judgment) because it's story time.

The past few years have wrecked me in ways I didn't know I could survive. I've buried people I loved. I've sat in therapy trying to untangle depression and anxiety that showed up uninvited and overstayed its welcome. I've watched my body fall apart with health issues nobody warns you about. I've navigated family drama that would make a soap opera writer say "that's a bit much." I have ugly-cried on my bathroom floor more times than I can count.

And through every single bit of it? Jesus never left.

Not once. Not when I was too depressed to pray in full sentences. Not when I was angry at Him. Not when I felt like a burden, forgotten, unseen, invisible in a world that scrolls right past real pain for the next dopamine hit.

Here's what I know now that I didn't know then: so many of us women in midlife are walking around exhausted, disconnected, and quietly wondering if anyone would notice if we disappeared. We're pouring out for everyone else and running on empty. And I'm convinced the only thing that actually fills that void isn't a productivity hack or a face serum (though, no shade, I love a good serum) — it's remembering who God says we are, on purpose, over and over, until we believe it again.

That's why I started Lettered Blessings. I want to be the encouragement I needed on my worst days. I want to be your big sister from anotha mista who tells you the truth, makes you laugh when you least expect it, and reminds you every single month that you are loved, you are not alone, and you are so far from forgotten.

We take care of ourselves first, loves. That's not selfish — that's how we end up with anything left to give the people we love. And we do it together, as a community of women who aren't afraid to be real with each other.

So here's to raw, honest, unfiltered hope — landing in your mailbox soon. 💌

Can I get an amen?
